Obituary for Alma Dease
Our beloved mother and Angel was called home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 17, 2012.

Alma Dease was 1 of 7 children born to the late Frank Legree, Sr. and Evelyn Legree of St. Stephen, South Carolina on April 29, 1938.  She attended and graduated from the public school system in St. Stephens. Alma later moved to Philadelphia where she met and married the late Johnnie Dease.  They were blessed with 2 beautiful children.

Alma accepted the Lord Jesus Christ at a young age.  She attended various churches in the West Philadelphia area until she was unable due to her Rheumatoid Arthritis.

Alma was a hard worker, she sometimes held 2 jobs to take care of her family.  She retired from Frankford Chocolate in 2005.  Alma enjoyed riding with her son Derrick going shopping, working in her garden where she lived on Hunter Street and cooking for her children and grandchildren.

Alma has 2 siblings that preceded her in death, brother Sam and sister, Mary.

Alma leaves to cherish her memories: 1 daughter, Sheila, 1 son Derrick, Sr.; 1 daughter-in-law, Regina; mother Evelyn; grandchildren, Iyana, Tymir, Sanaia and Blake; 2 sisters, Blondell and Juanita(Marvin); 2 brothers, Frank(Gardenia) and Theodore(Geraldine); uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of family and friends.

There will be a viewing Saturday, April 28, 2012 9:00 AM at Camphor Memorial United Methodist Church located a t5620 Wyalusing Avenue.  Funeral service will start at 10:00 AM.  Final resting place to conclude at Fernwood Cemetery.
