On Monday, August 28, 2023, CHRISTOPHER LEON HINES, loving Husband, Father, Brother, Uncle and Friend, was called home suddenly by his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, at his place of emplo9yment in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Chris was born on November 10, 1973, as the youngest;, of two sons, at Chestnut Hill Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to his loving parents, Ann Rochelle Hines and Walter Leon Hines, who preceded him in death.

Chris accepted Jesus Christ at an early age as a member of the Second Baptist Church of Germantown in Philadelphia. From his pre-teen through teenage years, he was an active member of the church's Youth Ministry, participating in various organized social activities which

Included an annual get-a-way youth retreat weekend.

Chris was educated at various private schools as well as within the Philadelphia public school system, graduating from Lankenau High School in 1991. After graduation, he attended Cheyney University where he majored in Hotel & Restaurant Management, acquiring his Bachelors of Science degree in 1997.

Upon graduating from Cheyney, Chris was offered and accepted a management trainee position with the Marriott Hotels, working as a Housekeeping Supervisor at their Philadelphia Marriott Downtown location. Chris was recognized as being a very hardworking, fair, and extremely dedicated employee by his peers and direct reports. He consistently demonstrated the willingness to go the “extra mile” to minimize any excessive workload for any of his co- workers or employees who needed additional support. Chris's career path would continue with him working in various positions of responsibility within the hotel and healthcare industries. His career would conclude working for the Crescent Hotels & Resorts as the Director of Housekeeping.

During his tenure of employment with the Philadelphia Children's Crisis Response Center, he encountered a co- worker, Tereasa, who quickly captivated his attention. Their affection for one another blossomed into a loving romance. Their love and commitment rapidly grew, and Chris and Tereasa were joined in holy matrimony on July 25, 2020. As a result of their union, they decided to formally adopt three of their children under their care as “foster parents. They planned and launched a housekeeping & janitorial services business early in their relationship as well. Chris enjoyed spending quality time with his life partner. He was content with spending a quiet evening at home or enjoying a night out at one of their favorite spots. His calm, loving and infectious demeanor was especially adored by his wife, children, and those individuals closest to him.

From childhood to adulthood, Chris possessed a very amiable personality loved by everyone. He was avid and passionate about his Philadelphia professional sports teams, especially the Philadelphia Eagles and 76ers. You could regularly catch him listening to sports radio programming and debating with himself or anyone who would listen to him talking about the radio host’s topics of the day.

He definitely was great at home improvement projects and loved to cook for his family and friends.

Chris is survived by: his loving wife, Tereasa Bradsher-Hines; a brother, Jeffrey Laurence, and his fiancé’, Tammy Walking Stick; one aunt, Barbara Juanita; one uncle, Peter Charles; four adored children, two sons, Paul and Faheem, and two daughters, Zariah and Elora; three step-sons, Clavin Harris, Tyreek Neal and Kadeem Bradsher; sister-in-law, Tia Spearman; brothers-in-law, Carl Bradsher and Steven Miller; one god-sister, Tamra Parker; one beloved newphew and niece, Jelani lee and Kira; cousins, Maria, Eugenia, Dawn, James and Timothy; and a host of lifelong close family friends.

Lovingly submitted,

The Family
