The life of Clarence James Harmon
Clarence James Harmon was born on January 3rd, 1932. He was the oldest child born to the late Clarence Harmon Sr. and the late Alice Saunders. The siblings that proceed before him are Love Harmon, and Lorraine Griffen (Rainey). Clarence departed his life peacefully at home on Saturday night September 23rd, 2023.
Clarence was affectionately known as Lefty, Little Clarence, and Pop-Pop Fondly called by his family and friends. He was educated in the Philadelphia public school system.
Clarence retired after 20 years from Jerry's corner, also he worked with Septa in advertising and the City of Philadelphia (Dept of Environmental Services).
Lefty met the love of his life and married the late Joyce Louise Thomas, the oldest of eight siblings. From their union the two children were Cynthia (Sindy) and the late Clarence Jr. (Junior), together they raised six children (Raymond, Michael, Theresa (Terri) deceased, and Gregory Brown).
Clarence loved listening to Jazz and going to Atlantic City on the boardwalk and beach. Most of all he loved being around his grandchildren and family.
Lefty leaves to cherish his loving memory: Anthony (Tony) and his wife Tina Eure, Cynthia Harmon, and Gregory Brown, brother-in-law the Rev. Samuel Griffin (Delaware). He has several special people in his life Sonia and Anthony Wheeler, Keyana Smith (Little one), Barbra Harmon, Renee Ryles his (Bresta) for over 20 years, Shawn Bennerman and Tyrone Wright, and his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
