Gloria Edwards Simpson was born on May 12,1965 in Philadelphia, PA to Jesse Lee Edwards and Delores Harvey Edwards.


Gloria Affectionately known as “Cookie” attended the Philadelphia School district. She left but later went back and graduated in the year 2000 to receive her high school diploma at Audenried High School. Cookie held various work positions and held employment at License and Inspection in Philadelphia, PA.


Cookie met Eric Simpson, and they married in the year 1990. Cookie and Eric are a match made in heaven, and the epitome of selfless inseparable love.


She gave him a nickname that solidified her love for him and let everyone know that he is her “Sugar Bookah”. Cookie loved to travel with Eric and have cookouts at her house. She also loved to dance and had a great sense of humor. She was also known for her famous saying when she answered the phone, “Praise the Lord.”


Those who proceeded her in death. Father Jesse Lee Edwards Sr, Mother Delores Harvey Edwards, Grandmother Henrietta Sims Chambers, Father-in-law Bill Simpson, mother-in-Law Inelle Simpson, Brother-in-Law Tony, Barry, Darryl, and Niel Simpson.


Gloria “Cookie” Simpson leaves to cherish, husband Eric Simpson, Brother’s Anthony, and Vincent Edwards. Her only sister Delores Edwards Shuler, sister-in-law Roberta Edwards, Brother-in-law Rickie Shuler.


Gloria “Cookie” Simpson will be missed by a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends will miss Gloria “Cookie” Simpson
