Life Story
Daniel Carey Meekins was born March 2,1970 to Robert Ivy Hicks and Marlene E. Meekins he is one of six children. Daniel lived in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania all his life and he accepted Christ in his life at an early age.
On January 13, 2021 Daniel was given his wings. He was needed in a higher place.  Daniel was educated in the Philadelphia public school system. Daniel worked various jobs among them He worked for Genuardi’s Supermarket for 14 years, the Waterfront Square Condominiums as a security guard for 6 years, Parks Casino in Bensalem Pennsylvania up until his untimely departure.
Daniel was a very loving and caring person with a big heart, He was always a happy person who loved to joke and make anyone smile. He never wanted to see you in a bad way. He would do anything for anyone and was always there if you needed him in anyway shape form or fashion. He loved his family and friends. He loved music, cars, and fashion.
Daniel leaves to mourn his mother Marlene Maxwell, stepfather Douglas Maxwell, one brother Richard Meekins, four sisters- Lillian Meekins, Sharon Miller, Kimberly Keyes, Tanya Manning, and Two Brother in laws- Robert Keyes and Marvin Manning and one sister-in-law Sandy Meekins. One daughter Roberta Meekins, and his son Robert Meekins, one grandson and one granddaughter. His companion Dawn Jackson and two good friends Lenny Kegler and Pamela Davis. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.   A Sister’s Brotherly Love When you have a brother as sweet and caring as ours, you always have that brotherly love. When you have a brother that likes to keep you smiling and stomach hurting from laughter you will always have that brotherly love. When you have a brother, who is smile brightens anyone’s day, you will always have that brotherly love. When you have a brother, who makes sure his sisters are safe and sound, you will always have that brotherly love. When you have a brother that is as great as ours you will know what it is like to have a brotherly love. So, this is our view of our love to our loving brother Daniel Carey Meekins.
