Obituary for Deborah R. Wilson
Deborah Renee Wilson also known as "Debbie" was born on January 26, 1961 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Shirley Baxter and the late Joseph Jones.  She received her education in the Philadelphia Public Schools, where she graduated from Parkway Beta on June 22, 1978. 

Deborah accepted Christ as her Savior and joined Metropolitan Baptist Church on January 8, 2007.  While at Metropolitan, she served as a member of both the Senior Usher Board and the Youth Ministry until her health failed.

She was employed with Mellon Bank also known as Citizens Bank for 22 years where she worked as a Branch Cash Settlement employee at the 8th and Market Branch.

On May 31, 1986 Deborah was united in holy matrimony to Rodney Wilson and from this union 1 child was born, a daughter, Rodneisha Wilson.

Deborah was a beautiful person both inside and out.  She was very compassionate, friendly, sociable and lovable to all.  She enjoyed attending church, singing and dancing and being around family and friends.

On Monday, March 26, 2012 at Hahnemann Hospital, the Almighty God in His infinite wisdom, grace and mercy called upon the spirit of Deborah Renee Wilson to be with him.

Deborah leaves to cherish many memories, her daughter Rodneisha Tanee Wilson; mother Shirley Baxter; special friend Marvin Oates along with a host of family and friends.


There will be a viewing on Monday, April 2, 2012 10:00 AM at Metropolitan Baptist Church located at 3500 Baring Street in Philadelphia, PA.  The funeral service will start at 11:00 AM.  Final resting place to conclude at West Laurel Hill Cemetery in Bala Cynwyd, PA.
