Obituary for Eloise Stevens Bannister
Lovingly Remembered
Eloise Bannister entered into this world on June 29, 1931 to Lloyd and Marie Stevens in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. On Saturday, November 26, 2011 God in His infinite wisdom saw fit to call her home to Glory.
Eloise was educated in the Philadelphia Parochial School System and graduated from West Catholic High School for Girls.
After 40 years of faithful and diligent service, Eloise retired from Bell Telephone. Some of her many hobbies included nail fashions and polish as her nail prowess rivaled that of many salons. She was an avid crossword player. Best of all, she thoroughly enjoyed playing pinochle with her friends and family.
Eloise was married to the late James Bannister.
Eloise was heavily involved with the Catholic Church. She became an Eucharistic Minister visiting the sick and administering Holy Communion.
Eloise leaves to cherish her memory, her loving daughter Pam; 2 granddaughters, Tara and Chelsea; 2 sisters, Connie and Shirley; 1 brother Paul; 2 brothers-in-law; 2 sisters-in-law; nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
There will be a viewing on Monday, December 5, 2011 10:00 AM at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament located at 345 North 63rd Street in Philadelphia. Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 AM. Final resting place to conclude at Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery in Springfield, PA.
