The Obituary
Fannie Marjorie Wright entered this life on July 20, 1930, to Ward and Eva Louise Leverette. Fannie departed this life on October 6, 2021, at the age of 91.
Fannie was born in Anderson, SC where she attended and graduated from the Reed Street School. She met and married John Albert Wright on September 25, 1955. The two began their life journey and moved to Philadelphia, PA and of this union were born 3 sons: Arnold, Bernard, and Darryl Wright.
Fannie wore many hats in her life, she was a homemaker where her family enjoyed her Sunday Southern Soul Food dinners and Big Ma’s homemade butter biscuit. She also was a seamstress who enjoyed making all her boy’s clothes and her specialty was making bridal gowns for friends which she enjoyed doing for anyone she could help out. She attended a computer college for programming in which she graduated.
Fannie loved traveling weather it was with her sisters on cruises, Charleston, SC or just being in Anderson with her family and friends.
Fannie is preceded in death by her husband, John Albert Wright; Son, Arnold Wright; Father and Mother, Ward & Eva Louise Leverette; sisters, Ruth Galloway; and Willie Mae Stevenson brothers, Odell Leverette; Ben Leverette; and Joe Leverette; Sisters-in-laws, Jannie Wright; Mildred Wright; Brother-in-laws, Allen and Gene Wright.
She is survived by her Sons, Bernard; and Darryl Wright; both of Philadelphia, Grandsons, Desmond “DJ” Jones (Erica) of Alabama; and Bernard Jr of Philadelphia, Granddaughters, LaTonya of Philadelphia; and Kristen of SC; Great grands, Samuel; Izaiah; Desmond Jr and Antonio; 1 Sister, Dorothy Crosby of NJ; 2 Sister in laws, Jannie Leverette of SC; and Fanny Leverette of Philadelphia; 1 Brother-in0law, Jesse of Philadelphia and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss her dearly.
