Isaiah W. Fields Jr. also affectionately known as “Jigga” was born on December 13 th , 1958, to the late Rose Lee Fields and Isaiah W. Fields Sr in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. On September 14th , 2021, surrounded by his family, Isaiah was called home to be with the Lord.
Isaiah’s early life was growing up on 61 st and Lansdowne where he was educated in the Philadelphia public school system. Earning his degree from Overbrook high school in 1976. After graduation he briefly worked at an upholstery shop before going to work at Presbyterian Hospital. Not long after he began working at Presbyterian, he met, fell in love, and married Raynae Brown, with whom they had two children, Joy Raynae and Isaiah III. Also, during this time, he became the first Hilltop DJ there ever was, a member of the Men of Tustin, along with becoming a member of the Overbrook PAL League under the direction of Mr. Mason. After working at Presbyterian for ten years in the Emergency Room, Isaiah went on to work for his father in the construction industry. He was very gifted in his craft and could build a house from the ground up. His talents went as far as participating in building a few bridges in the states of Maryland and Delaware thousands of people cross daily. When he wasn’t remodeling houses or building bridges, he was in the kitchen making his famous “Jigga Burgers.” He loved to spend time with his family and friends. Watching his favorite football team, the Eagles beat any team especially the Cowboys.
Isaiah was known and loved by so many who considered him the life of the party. He will be greatly missed by all those who have known him and have memories to cherish forever. Proceeded in death by his mother Rose Lee Fields; his grandmother Queen Esther Brockington, his brother Andre Fields; his sister Theresa “Winky,” Fields. He leaves to treasure his memory: his two children Joy and Isaiah III; his father Isaiah W. Fields Sr; his five sisters Denise, Doretha, Michelle, Valerie, and Diane; three brothers Robert, Nathaniel, and Matthew. Two aunts Elizabeth and Charlotte; two uncles Clarence and Joe; one sister-in-law Asenath; one brother-in-law Kenneth; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends
