Obituary for James Jr. Lang
James was born in Valdosta, Georgia on July 24, 1954 to Austine Lang(Sutton) and the late James Lang, Sr.  As a young boy he came to Philadelphia with his mother and sisters.  James graduated from Overbrook High School.  His favorite hobby was basketball, which he played almost every day in his youth.  James was married twice though there weren't any children born to either union.  After serving 4 years in the US Army, he returned and began working for the US Postal Service where he was employed as a postman until his death.

He leaves to lament his homegoing: his mother, Austine Sutton and step-father, Ernest Sutton; 7 siblings, Sandra Mitchell of Turnersville, NJ, Janice Lang, Semina Stephens, Faye (Ricky) Washington all of Valdosta, GA, Stephen (Michelle) McCray of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Cynthia Lang of Ocala, FL and Quanda Turner of Mebane, NC; 1 great-aunt Kathryn Poole Smith of Philadelphia, PA; 6 aunts Diane Dasher-Jones of Philadelphia, PA, Carol Dixon of Bloomfield, CT, Clemmie L. Smith of Valdosta, GA, Helen Graham of Manhattan, NY, Mary Pearl Lang of White Haven, FL and Laverne Williams of Doerun, GA; 4 uncles Robert Macky of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Johnny Frank Macky of Albany, GA, William Dixon and Andrew Dixon, Jr. both of Hartford, CT; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, close friends and special friend Maria.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, September 4, 2012 9:00 AM at Camphor Memorial UMC - 5620 Wyalusing Avenue.  Funeral service will begin at 10:00 AM.  Final resting place to conclude at Glenwood Memorial Gardens in Broomall, PA
