Interment: Private
Jordan Niambi Broomes, 17, of Lansdowne, PA, went home to be with the Lord Monday, November 16, 2020. She was born in Philadelphia, PA, on September 4, 2003, to Chris and Keisha Broomes. Considered a micro-preemie due to her early birth and tiny size, Jordan beat the odds and lived to bring light and love to her family for years.
Jordan attended Ardmore Avenue Elementary School, The Christian Academy in Brookhaven (TCA), and, finally, Pennsylvania Virtual Charter School (PAVCS). An aspiring photographer, Jordan planned to attend Alfred University in Alfred, NY, to pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography. She often wore her Alfred University t-shirt at home while completing her high school courses.
Jordan loved to dance, and she studied and performed ballet, praise, and jazz dance with DAT Dance School in Yeadon, PA. She also enjoyed volunteering with the CareView Media Team at CareView Community Church. Jordan loved her friends and family. She also adored reading graphic novels, designing outfits, drawing, experimenting with makeup, and watching mystery shows and movies. With her sweet personality, dry wit, and petite frame, Jordan regularly joked about the giant dog and tiny hairless cat she would own as an adult – she wanted to name them Chachi and Charlamagne.
Jordan is survived by her brother, Jared Broomes, her sister, Joelle Broomes, her parents, Chris and Keisha Broomes, as well as her extended family and loved ones.
