Obituary for Katherine M. Hardeman
In Loving Memory

Katherine M. Hardeman (nee Myers) was born on January 15, 1922 in Eldridge, Maryland to the late John and Viola Myers.  She was the wife of the late James Hardeman.

Katherine was well known as one of the city's 1st barmaids, as well as a fabulous cook and hostess.  As a long time resident of the 1300 block of Christian Street in South Philly, she hosted an "Open House" on New Year's Day for many, many years.  People from all walks of life and from all over the city would gather at her house for something to eat, drink or just get warm.

Katherine departed this life on Friday, October 14, 2011 at Manor Care Nursing Facility in Yeadon, PA,  where she was a long-term resident for the past 5 years.

Katherine leaves to mourn her passing 1 brother, John Myers(Bernice); several nieces and nephews and a host of other family members and friends.

Services and Interment to be held privately.
