Mildred Davenport was born on October 17, 1936 in Portsmouth Virginia to Albert Baker and Mary Thornton she later met Thomas Davenport in 1956 at the Portsmouth Virginia Shipyard where he was stationed with the U.S. Navy. They later fell in love and got married on January 14, 1956 Mildred gave birth to her daughter Cynthia on March 20, 1954. To everyone Known as "Shirley" to her family and friends Mildred and her family lived in Various places including South Carolina, California until they settled in Philadelphia, PA. Born the youngest of six children Mildred's hobbies were sewing, cooking and traveling. She worked as a seamstress until she retired in 2001. Mildred is survived by her husband Thomas Davenport (Deceased) Daughter Cynthia (Deceased) Grandsons Kevin and Cary, Great Grandchildren Kareena, Keyon, Ali and Kenny.
