Life Story
Robert Benjamin Holland was born in Philadelphia Pennsylvania on May 12 1924 to Edward and Rosemary Holland Jackson. He was educated in the Philadelphia school He had one brother Freddie Holland system. At a young age he was began to work for the Philadelphia tribune selling news papers in the South Philly area. After finishing the 11th grade at South Philly Highschool he was hired by the U.S. Navy to work as a machinist. This occupation allowed him to travel the world seven times. After leaving the Navy machinist position in 1966 he began working for General Electric for 25 years. Due to complications from eye surgery had to retire early. In 1975 he met and and married Linda Townes. From their union They had two children Florence Elizabeth and Robert Benjamin Jr.
Mr. Holland received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior in 1981. It was around this time he and his family joined Bethany Baptist Missionary church. Mr. Holland loved the Lord and wasn't ashamed to say it tell it or sing it. He loved to sing and glorify God Almighty with is strong bass voice. He and Linda unfortunately divorced in 1991 but he still attended Bethany until he no longer could.
Mr. Holland leaves behind two children Florence and Robert three grandchildren Shataiah , Shamir wife Clarissa, and Shakiema and one great grandbaby D'Lerala. It hurts losing our lo(pronounced Dee air la) It hurts losing our loved one but we know he's with the Lord Hallelujah!!!
