The Obituary
In Loving Memory of Ronald K. Sample
Ronald began his life’s journey on February 18, 1952,in Philadelphia, PA born to the late James and Gloria Lake Sample. He departed this life January 29, 2022. Ronald’s oldest sister Gloria Jean Sample (preceded him in death) on January 29, 1994. Ronald was educated in the Philadelphia school systems and attended the John Bartram High School. He was affectionately known to many as, “Treetop”. His work experience started at an early age in various positions such as the medical field, truck driver, concierge, security. He often held two jobs at a time. He would work in any area, he could. Ronald retired in 2010 after thirty years in building maintenance at 2000 Market Street and served as the shop steward for Local BJ32 for several years. He as a “Jack of all Trades” and mastered all of them.
Ronald and Yvonne were united in marriage on October 4, 1997 at the Calvary Baptist Church. Ronald accepted Christ as Lord and Savior and joined the church on July 20, 2008.
Ronald was loved by his Family and Friends and known for his big heart and helpful spirit. He loved music, having a good time, laughter and would greet you with a firm hand shake. Ronald celebrated his birthday the whole month of February. He was avid Philadelphia sports fan, the EAGLES, 76ERS and the Phillies. He truly loved his Family and was extremely proud of his children. His grandchildren were the absolute loves of his life. He will be so missed by his family, friends and acquaintances, too numerous to name. He touched the lives of those he encountered, everywhere he went. Our memories of Ronald will forever be in our hearts.
Ronald K. Sample leaves to cherish so many memories of love and care from his devoted wife Yvonne, his sister Kim Lorraine Sample (Sheldon),his children Kenneth Sample (Hahna), Todd Huntley, Vincent Huntley (Shamira), Shay Huntley (Ed), his beautiful grandchildren, Mya, Zoe, Lil Todd, Paige, Kiara, Todd, Jr., Troi, Desirae, Ayden, Ameena, Isaiah, Jordan, Alijah, Alexi, his great-grand Alayzha, one Sister-in-law, Pamela Beaty (George)and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
