Life Story
Born on January 10, 1987, Tee-Tee was a bright child who was tested and found to be mentally gifted at six years of age. As a result of her academic excellence, she received numerous awards and accolades throughout her educational experience, graduating from Upper Darby High School at 16 years old in 2004. A natural learner and voracious reader, she often read the same book series several times.
Tierra was a sweetheart; she always helped around the house and supported her sisters Meagen and Bria. Tee-Tee was a Girl Scout who was involved in food giveaways, community cleanups, and numerous service-oriented projects.
During her high school years, she co-founded the Upper Darby Royals Step Team. She also participated in the “Jump Rope for Heart” campaign, supported canned food drives, was United Way volunteer, and involved in voter registration drives. Her passion for community service was evident in all her activities.
Tee-Tee inherited her parents’ collector gene and had an impressive collection of Beannie Babies. She enjoyed showcasing them while spending time with family and loved traveling. Her favorite place to visit was Florida, where she first fell in love with Mickey Mouse. Her love for Mickey Mouse was so strong that she humorously disliked Minnie Mouse for “pushing up on her man.” She had a unique and genuinely funny personality that brightened the lives of everyone around her.
Tierra’s commitment to giving back was evident throughout her life. Tee-Tee was also a fighter for what was right, and even while grappling with her own mental wellness, she supported others with mental health challenges. She was an artist who created and designed coloring books to help those with depression and wrote stories and poetry about her life experiences. Tee-Tee ran and supported spiritual classes during her weekly group therapy sessions and organized weekly movie nights for her roommates. She also volunteered at the Center for Positive Aging in Lower Merion (PALM) and found great joy in helping the staff supporting participants.
Tierra’s warmth, generosity, and infectious personality will be dearly missed by her parents, Harry and Dawn Allen, sisters, Meagen (Timothy) and Bria Allen; Grandmother Theresa Ray; aunts & Uncles Mary Davis, Patrice (Steve), Karen, Hope (Eric), Levi Jr. (Vonda), Wanda (Clarence), Lavern, Kevin (Star), Earl (Deidra), Adrian (Denise), Gary (Angel), Linda, Thurmond (Kiesha), Alonzo (Angela), Anthony (Lolita), Steven (Faith), Harvey (Sheila), Hiram (Betty), Sheryl, Gerald; Special Uncle John Davis & Aunt Mary Freeman; Special Cousins: Michael, Erika, Brittany, Eric, Melea, Eric Lucas, Levi Davis III, Terrance, Terrell, Tanedria, Jeffery Jr, Angela, Nyaira, John, Adrian Jr, Dennis, Shakiya, Alicia, Darnell, Curtis, Dwayne, Tayshira, Takiya, God Mother angela Crisp and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, family, friends and loved ones.
Sorrowfully Submitted,
The Family
