Life story
Coleen Michelle Turner departed her loving family on October 9th, 2022.
Coleen was born in Cherry Hill, New Jersey on October 20th, 1964 to Margaret Mae Leakins.
Coleen grew up in Pennsauken, New Jersey. In her early years she lived with her grandparents at the family’s home on Gladwyn Avenue. (Coleen) attended Pennsauken School #5 and graduated from Pennsauken High School in 1983. During her time in high School she was apart of various clubs such as: Prom Committee… Cultures Club… Leo Club… Art Club… Apache Band…Gospel Choir… Penndian (student-run newsletter)… Spanish Club (Secretary)… Softball(Manager)… Field Hockey… & Legend Staff (Sports Editor).
Later in life, Coleen moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and raised her two children Darrell and Shaun with love and devotion, firmly believing that there was no sacrifice too great for her boys. During her time in Philadelphia, she maintained positions in Healthcare Administration for many years. Coleen was best known for her empathy towards patients and their family members, her positive outlook on life, and her willingness to always help those in need. Her hobbies included watching Korean soap operas, catching a ballgame with her boys, cooking new recipes, and perfecting her “green” thumb. Coleen was most proud of her sons and all of their accomplishments. She will be greatly missed by her family and especially her sons.
Coleen is survived by her sons Darrell and Shaun Turner, her Granddaughters Aryanna and Sophia, and her Grandson Leyton.
